15-Aug-2010: Wombat State Forest - Jim Crow Range
Photos:
Chris Schirlinger, Vince Borg
Getting prepared, the army of the light...
Off we go!
Just a little light rain
Every footstep was tricky, even little hill...
Still smiling, despite the rain
Lunch. Wet grass and dripping trees
No overcrowding in this town!
Lucky we find an alternative route over THIS...
Follow, follow the red mud road
Crossing another track.... which looks...
Perhaps this route is a little TOO...
We can't go over it. We can't go through it....
The blowhole, a remnant of the gold mining...
River redirection by the early gold miners
They made a hole clearly visible
Gushing water
Admiring the view of the swollen river below...
Back at the bus! JOY! Dry clothing!
The bus trip back.
