Clubroom and Sunday Walk Location Maps

Melbourne Bushwalkers' clubroom is located on the ground floor at 717 Flinders Street, Docklands, in the heritage-listed building of The Mission to Seafarers Victoria. The club meets from 6:30pm - 8:30pm every Wednesday evening (except over Christmas - New Year).

The Mission to Seafarers is well-serviced by public transport within reasonable walking distance.

• Tram stop D5 is directly across from MtSV in Flinders Street and serviced by Flinders Street trams 70, 75 and the City Circle Tram.
• Tram stop D16 in Collins Street is only a 6 minute walk away and serviced by Collins Street trams 11 and 48.
• Tram stop 124 (Batman Park) in Spencer Street is only a 6-7 minute walk away along Siddeley Street and serviced by Spencer Street trams 1, 2, 96 and 109.
• Southern Cross Station is only a 10 minute walk away.

If you are planning to drive to the venue you will find that the street parking around Docklands is generally free from 6:30pm onwards, and 2 hour limit before then (meter and free depending on the street). The carparks in Siddeley Street next to the venue are $12 all night from 6pm. Parking on the south side of the Yarra beyond the DFO carpark is generally free from 6:00pm and should have spots available in the evening. A place to look is along Munro Street with easy access to Seafarers through the DFO carpark and across the Seafarers Bridge (about 10 minute walk).

The Sunday Bus Walk departure location is from the bus stop on the northern corner of William Street and A'Beckett Street, Melbourne, opposite the Royal Historical Society of Victoria building and close to Flagstaff Station. The bus will depart at 8:45am sharp.

The meeting point for Sunday private transport walks will be advised by the leader.

There are a number of options for Sunday Bus passengers to get to the departure location.

• Catch a Tram: Nos. 23, 24, 30 or 34 on LaTrobe St.; No. 55 on William St;
• Catch a Train: Flagstaff Gardens Underground Station; Station exit only a few minutes from the departure location;
• Car Parks: There are several Wilson Parking facilities near the departure location with a Flat Rate on Sunday;
• Free Parking: Many areas around Flagstaff Gardens have restricted parking on Sundays. The Melbourne City Council Parking and Kerbside Management Plan approved in May 2023 is progressively changing parking conditions around the CBD with new 2 hour limits on Sunday. Always check signs before leaving your car.
